The American Association for Anatomy’s awards program is one of the broadest in the industry. The members-only program bestows more than $650,000 in awards, research grants and scholarships each year. In fact, one in 10 members receives an award, scholarship or grant every year. Many recipients go on to achieve significant success in their careers.

The Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award

Application Deadline: 11/15/2022
Presented to a member who creates inclusive teams representing the rich diversity of communities served.

Postdoctoral Fellowship

Application Deadline: 11/15/2022
Provides salary support to an AAA member who is a postdoctoral trainee working in any aspect of biology relevant to the anatomical sciences.

Basmajian Award

Application Deadline: 11/15/2022
Recognizes health science faculty who are in the formative stages of their career that teach human or veterinary gross anatomy.

Education Research Scholarship

Application Deadline: 11/15/2022
Supports a member who is a graduate student in a mentored project, or a postdoc fellow or junior faculty member who wishes to develop a project that shows promise as a model for improving the quality of teaching and learning in anatomical education.
