A pioneering documentary featuring AAA member Professor Claire Smith, head of Anatomy at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, is scheduled to air on Britain’s Channel 4 in early December. “My Dead Body,” follows Smith and her team as they dissect cancer patient and body donor Toni Crews, and charts the course of the disease from the initial diagnosis to her death four years later. Crews, who gave public display consent, narrates the film, which shows the dissection during a series of educational workshops with the intention of educating viewers on the science of cancer and its journey through the human body.
