The learnings gained from AAA events and conferences like the Anatomy Education Resource Institute continue long after the event is over, according to research published in BMC Medical Education. Polly R. Hussman, James J. Brokaw and Valerie D. O’Laughlin of the Indiana School of Medicine studied and surveyed 24 participants of AERI 2017 over six, nine and 30 months. The researchers found that not only had learning occurred amongst the AERI attendees and speakers, it was also sustained, and the new knowledge and skills attained at AERI had been applied and shared through scholarly publication and mentorship with those around them.
