Revisiting the Anatomical Record Special Issue on History, Ethics

Last year, AAA took the unprecedented step of publishing a special issue of The Anatomical Record that examines “the soul of our discipline” and AAA, co-editors Jeffrey T. Laitman and Heather F. Smith wrote in their issue editorial.

Guest Edited by Jason Organ and Amber Comer, both of Indiana University in Indianapolis, the collection of papers in this special issue “looks at our past through a powerful, critical lens,” and seeks to “represent thoughts on how our science has morphed and changed through history, addressing up front, the at times painful recognition of our collective failings to see beyond the lens of our microscopes or the walls of our laboratories.”
